Ankit Kothari is a National Award-winning director, scriptwriter, and brand storyteller with over 17 years of experience in the Hindi film industry. His debut short film Paanchika (2023), a heartwarming tale of friendship set in the Little Rann of Kutch, earned him the National Award for Best Debut Director (Non-Feature).
The film was the Opening Film at the 51st International Film Festival of India (IFFI), and was officially selected for the International Short Film Festival Oberhausen, Germany.
Before making his directorial debut, Ankit honed his craft as an assistant director on acclaimed films such as Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! (2007), Love Sex Aur Dhokha (2010), Shanghai (2012), and Tumbbad (2018).
He has also worked at top agencies in India, such as Ogilvy & Mather, Marching Ants, and Contract Advertising, handling clients like HSBC Bank, Shoppers Stop, Cadbury, Vodafone, and JW Marriott.
